What will you do? Retrieve storage items and measure, portion, and prepare all sauces, stocks, and soups per chef recipes Maintain inventory of par levels for sauces, stocks, and soups as set by management Properly label and date all prepped products and maintain food, utensils, and equipment in clean and orderly condition Perform opening, closing, and side work duties according to guidelines and communicate with the Chef for special instructions or training Follow all safety, security, kitchen, and ServSafe procedures and comply with health codes and sanitation regulations More about you Minimum of 2 years of experiences in a fast paced, high volume, Asian kitchen Prior food preparation experience and sauce work required; ramen and wok cooking experience is preferred Knowledge on how to use commercial kitchen equipment including ovens, mixers, skillets, kettles, and stoves Must have own kitchen tools such as chef's knives, paring knife, and peeler Ability to read and communicate in English High school diploma or GED not required but preferred Physical requirements Frequent standing and walking for the entire length of the shift Manual dexterity is sufficient to chop, mix, blend, and whip a variety of foods and liquids Ability to move rapidly and coordinate multiple orders Ability to frequently immerse hands in water Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Shift details Days Split shift Holidays Weekends Source: Hospitality Online
