Make Every Case Count Are you precise, safety-focused, and energized by fast-moving production lines? Join our Production team in Romeoville as a Sauce Packaging Machine Operator. You’ll report to the Production Shift Supervisor and play a key role in material flow, labeling accuracy, and packaging quality. Where You’ll Work Location: Romeoville Department: Production Reports To: Production Shift Supervisor Why This Role Matters Our customers rely on us for safe, consistent products. Your work keeps equipment running to standard, materials staged correctly, and documentation accurate—so every pallet that leaves our floor meets spec. What You’ll Tackle Set up sauce pump equipment and verify the correct SKU label before production begins. Stage and replenish raw/dry materials; maintain production minimums at all times. Track material usage and return excess with exact weights per food safety guidance. Palletize cases per BOM; complete pallet tags, apply one to the pallet, retain a copy. Wrap pallets four times at waist height and transport via pallet jack to pickup points. Assist with label and ribbon replacements during runs. Remove damaged or broken pallets from circulation promptly. Inspect your area for mechanical or operational issues; correct or escalate to supervision/management. Adhere to GMPs; use only good wood pallets and never step on pallets. Notify the Line Lead any time you must step away from the line. Maintain line speed/standards and product consistency throughout processing. Keep the work area clean, orderly, and audit-ready; support other areas as needed. Training & Standards You’ll follow a structured training plan with clear exit criteria. Your readiness will be confirmed by written, verbal, and/or demonstration-based assessments to validate you can perform tasks to company specifications. Food Safety & Quality Ownership Work in alignment with the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety, Issue 9. Immediately report any food safety or quality concerns to supervision and/or QA. Escalate any risk or sign of out-of-spec product, equipment, packaging, or raw materials to a designated manager without delay. Understand that this position carries responsibility for both food safety and legal compliance.
