About The Position

Project Kuiper is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we've designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. We are looking for an experienced Test Hardware Development Engineer to help architect innovative test infrastructure to improve and optimize Kuiper's satellite level test systems . Our team is responsible for core infrastructure and tools that serve as the backbone for automated satellite testing operations. In this role, you will bridge hardware and systems engineering with hands-on lab and test development capabilities. You will lead the design, build, and deployment of test hardware across Kuiper's vehicle integration venues, contribute to infrastructure planning, and directly support ground systems involving RF, networking, mechanical interfaces, and electrical systems. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in electrical engineering, is comfortable in hands-on lab environments, and can work across teams to scale test operations in a fast-paced development and production settings. The Integrated Vehicle Test team is responsible for delivering functional spacecraft to orbit to ensure Kuiper's mission success. We do so through development of advanced test systems and execution of test campaigns that help guarantee reliable operation of satellite vehicles in space. The tasks and daily focus change rapidly, and you will often take on exciting new responsibilities to ensure project success. Expect to be deployed to address complex problems by identifying the scope of the issue and quickly establishing innovative and functional solutions.
