About The Position

Performs installation maintenance and repair of telecommunications systems. 1. Installs maintains and repairs satellite systems. 2. Maintains telecommunications equipment and installs, rearranges and removes equipment and associated wiring. 3. Interprets service orders, circuit diagrams, and electrical schematics. 4. Tests, locates, and repairs equipment problems associated with trouble calls, and performs routine maintenance. 5. Verifies work order information and receipt of all necessary equipment and information. 6. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. 7. Participates in special projects as required. Associates Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience. CERTIFICATIONS: Must meet the certification requirement on the SPIN-C or individual task order. 8+ years of related telecommunications experience. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Intermediate “hands on” work experience in support of installations, repair, and troubleshooting or maintenance of communications systems or equipment. Must have the technical knowledge to solve complex problems, understand the interrelationships of circuits, and be able to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of SATCOM systems or equipment. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Intermediate experience working with DSCS or Commercial Satellite Terminals as specified in the task order to include: • X, C, KA, Ku-band, Tri-band Satellite Terminals • FDMA, TDMA, IP Type satellite modems #DefenseOCONUS The likely hourly rate for this position is between $32.94 - $44.56. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
