Lockheed Martin is looking for a dedicated Mission Operations Systems Engineer to join the Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) Program, SBIRS/NGG, Flight Operations Support (FOS) team working onsite in Sunnyvale, California. The Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) Geosynchronous Orbit (GEO), Highly Elliptical Orbit (HEO), and Next Generation OPIR (NGG) team supports initial satellite development, Launch and Early Orbit Test (LEOT), and overseeing mission operation projects that contribute to the day-to-day activities, maintenance, and health of the satellite constellation. This role functions as a satellite factory, Sub-System Technical Analyst (SSTA) primarily supporting the Mission Payload (MPL).
