About The Position

Auria is seeking a Satellite Operations Controller to support the US Space Force's Space and Missile Systems Center Prototype Operations program. This role involves performing complex operational tasks related to on-orbit experimentation and prototype spacecraft, requiring in-depth knowledge of operational systems. The position is operational and on-site, located at Kirtland AFB, NM, with no remote work options available.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience for Specialist level; 5+ years for Analyst level, or an Associate's degree with 7+ years of experience.
  • Experience with space systems and space operations or other highly technical system or command and control operations.
  • Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret (TS) SCI.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with satellite telemetry analysis.
  • Familiarity with Test and Evaluation processes.
  • Knowledge of Physical Security protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of activities associated with the analysis of both ground operational systems and spacecraft operational systems.
  • Participate on assigned projects and missions, supporting user and customer interface meetings, exercises, and rehearsals.
  • Perform long-term trending of vehicle telemetry and notify the government of trends indicating potential vehicle problems.
  • Conduct mission and pre-pass planning, scheduling, orbit analysis, and orbit product generation functions, coordinating to achieve contact success.
  • Perform real-time evaluation, trend analysis, and troubleshooting of spacecraft, payload, and ground systems status according to established mission requirements.
  • Issue commands, directives, and other instructions to tracking stations within specific timelines.
  • Conduct post-pass critiques with tracking stations and participate in technical meetings.
  • Provide 24x7x365 operational support.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standardized operating procedures.
  • Support management and performance of required shift and crew functions.
