Requirements

  • Significant experience in Satcom system design for payloads, user terminals, or key subsystems.
  • Knowledge of relevant Satcom frequency bands (e.g., Ku, Ka, Q, V, W, C, S, L) and the implications on circuit/sub-system design.
  • Ability to translate system/constellation requirements into innovative solutions.
  • Understanding of space environment factors, including radiation effects (TID, SEE).
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills; thrives in both independent and collaborative settings.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications, Aerospace, or related field.
  • Experience shaping IC or system roadmaps.
  • Familiarity with power systems, thermal control, or on-board processing.
  • Exposure to Direct-to-Cell and next-generation Satcom technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to architecture, design, and implementation of innovative Satcom solutions.
  • Translate system requirements into practical, high-impact designs for payloads, terminals, and subsystems.
  • Optimize RF signal chains, frequency conversion, mixed signal, digital beamforming, power, and precision technologies.
  • Drive or influence IC and system technology roadmaps through deep industry insight.
  • Integrate new technologies such as advanced user terminals and Direct-to-Cell solutions.
  • Ensure robust designs for the space environment, including radiation (TID, SEE), thermal, and reliability factors.
