Specifically, we are looking for a TS/SCI cleared S ATCOM Specialist - Senior to support this mission at Pope Army Airfield, North Carolina. Responsibilities: As a S ATCOM Specialist - Senior , you will provide technical and management leadership for all equipment and information support functions across the Task Order. Your responsibilities include: Serves as a lead technical expert in designing, implementing, and optimizing complex network architectures for C2ISR SATCOM Transport Systems, ensuring high resilience, security, and performance. Maps architectures using DEF models, data flows, and interfaces and leads the architectural design and deployment strategies for highly scalable and secure SATCOM network segments, incorporating advanced routing protocols, multi-domain network segmentation, and secure data paths for C2ISR mission data across various classification levels. Architects and oversees the integration of diverse SATCOM technologies (e.g., GEO, MEO, LEO, commercial/military SATCOM) into a unified C2ISR communication infrastructure, defining interoperability standards, network interfaces, and high-level configuration management. Conducts expert-level network architectural analysis for SATCOM systems, focusing on throughput optimization, latency reduction, and resilience against environmental or adversarial effects (e.g., rain fade, jamming) using advanced network modeling and simulation tools. Develops and champions advanced network architectural solutions to address complex SATCOM communication challenges, such as implementing Software-Defined Networking (SDN) principles for dynamic bandwidth allocation or designing secure cross-domain solutions directly over SATCOM links. Drives the maintenance and modernization strategies for SATCOM assets and ground-based gateways, including evaluating new modem technologies, waveform enhancements, network management systems architectures, and their integration into the C2ISR enterprise. Utilize the following Role Specific Tools: EA frameworks (DoDAF, TOGAF, Digital Engineering); IaC (RH AAP, Helm, Rancher Fleet); system modeling (Cameo, Sparx , System Architect, Jira, wiki); requirements management (DOORS, Jama Connect); configuration management (Ansible, Terraform, CMDB); service desk and ticketing (ServiceNow); network diagramming (Visio, Lucidchart ); routing protocol simulators (BGP/MBGP/MSDP/BFD labs); cloud orchestration tools (Azure Arc, AWS Console, milCloud 2.0, Grizzly Cloud 2.0,); SATCOM monitoring (L3 Harris SRVT, ViaSat portals); latency measurement (Wireshark, TS Reader); backup and disaster recovery (Veeam, Commvault).Elastic Stack, ACAS

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a S ATCOM Specialist or similar role supporting a DoD customer at the C CMD leve l
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with BS/BA , or 3 years ’ experience with MS/MA , or 1 years ’ experience with PhD . OR 9 years without a degree OR 7 years with AS/AA
  • A current, active DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level
  • US citizenship
  • DOD 8140 Compliance based on functional role for WRC: 441 Network Operations Specialist, Intermediate Level/ ability to obtain

Nice To Haves

  • DoD-approved IA baseline certification for ADP-III/IT-III based on the IAT level and CE/Operating System (OS) certificate within six months of the assignment.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience with BS/BA , or 6 years ’ experience with MS/MA , or 3 years ’ experience with PhD . OR 12 years without a degree OR 10 years with AS/AA
