SAIC is seeking a Communications Specialist for a deployable C4I system based in Brunswick, GA. The qualified candidate will be a part of a small, agile, embedded team of support SMEs providing on-site support; to include system administration, network administration, communication, and infrastructure. Embedded personnel are considered subject matter experts (SME), mission essential and deployable on any Regional Combat Command (RCC) exercises or operations that require the use of C2 Family of Systems. The Team provides on-site technical support at the garrison and deployed locations where the C2 system operates. Embedded personnel must live in or relocate to the location of work site. This role cannot be supported remotely. Typical operation and maintenance support is 5 days a week for each fielded system. Typical core operating hours at each location are 800 to 1700. Work hours in excess of 40 hours per week per person may be required during contingency operations (deployments or exercises), an alternate work schedule may be required to support 24/7 operations.
