Specifically, we are looking for a TS/SCI cleared SATCOM Engineer - J unior to support this mission at Pope Army Airfield, North Carolina . Responsibilities: As a SATCOM Engineer - J unior you will provide technical and management leadership for all equipment and information support functions across the Task Order. Your responsibilities include:

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a SATCOM Engineer or similar role supporting a DoD customer at the C CMD leve l
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with a BS/BA or 0 years’ experience with a MS/MA or 6 years’ experience with no degree . 6 years' w/o a degree or 4 years' with AS/AA degree
  • A current, active DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level
  • US citizenship
  • DoD 8140 role for WRC: 441; Element: IT; Work Role: Network Operations Specialist; Proficiency Level: Basic / ability to obtain

Nice To Haves

  • DoD-approved IA baseline certification for ADP-III/IT-III based on the IAT level and CE/Operating System (OS) certificate within six months of the assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Applies fundamental SATCOM network principles to assist in diagnostic capabilities for C2ISR SATCOM network challenges.
  • Supports end-to-end infrastructure testing and connectivity verification for SATCOM links, collecting data and documenting basic findings.
  • Assists in basic fault isolation for SATCOM network outages, following established procedures and using diagnostic tools under direct supervision.
  • Contributes to proactive monitoring efforts for SATCOM network environments by reporting anomalies in link performance or terminal status.
  • Aids in the verification of satellite signal quality and modem operational parameters during troubleshooting scenarios.
  • Works under direct supervision, focusing on executing routine network troubleshooting tasks and developing foundational knowledge of SATCOM network architecture and diagnostic tools.
