About The Position

Tutor Doctor New Jersey is looking for an experienced, knowledgeable SAT/ACT tutor to join our growing team in the Ridgewood area. This is a one-on-one, in-home tutoring position where you will work directly with students to help them prepare for and excel on today's standardized tests, including the new Digital SAT and the Enhanced ACT. If you are passionate about test prep, stay current with the latest exam formats, and know how to motivate students to perform at their best, we want to hear from you!

Requirements

Demonstrated experience tutoring for the SAT and/or ACT
Proven track record of helping students improve their scores
Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and build student confidence
Reliable, punctual, and committed to a consistent weekly schedule
Strong communication skills with students and parents
Must have reliable transportation to travel to student homes in the Ridgewood area
Must be able to pass a background check

Nice To Haves

Prior teaching or professional tutoring experience
Strong working knowledge of the Digital SAT (module-adaptive format) and Enhanced ACT
Familiarity with official prep materials
Experience working with high school students under academic pressure

Responsibilities

Provide personalized, one-on-one in-home SAT and/or ACT tutoring sessions to students in the Ridgewood, NJ area
Develop targeted strategies tailored to each student's strengths, weaknesses, and target scores
Track student progress and adjust your approach based on practice test results and feedback
Communicate updates and progress with our coordination team via session reports
Maintain a consistent, reliable weekly schedule with your assigned students
