  • Write SAS programs and utilize tools such as Tableau and Microsoft Office for data management and reporting.
  • Integrate student, human resources, and finance data marts along with other data sources.
  • Manage data quality and metadata to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Ensure data security in compliance with laws and policies.
  • Manage multiple complex projects, focusing on outcomes and timelines.
  • Review code written by colleagues and provide constructive feedback.
  • Document recurring activities and complex projects for cross-training purposes.
  • Consult with other programmer/analysts and campus representatives to resolve technical problems.
  • Master's degree with 2-4 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of experience, or a combination of related education and experience.
  • Proficiency in SAS programming with a minimum of 3 years of experience, including Data Step programming and merging large data sets.
  • Experience with debugging, troubleshooting code, and documenting code thoroughly.
  • Ability to communicate complex information effectively to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.
  • Minimum of five years of writing original SAS code in a professional setting.
  • Experience in a higher education institution or state-level higher education agency.
  • Experience with data visualization software, preferably Tableau.
  • Experience writing and/or interpreting SQL and/or Python.
  • Subject matter expertise in institutional research reporting areas such as student enrollment or finance.
  • Knowledge of FERPA and state laws concerning student privacy and data security.
  • Hybrid work arrangement with at least 3 days per week in the office.
