The SAS Developer for Medicaid Care Management & Encounter Processing will work remotely with an initial requirement to be onsite for two days a week for the first month. This role involves developing and implementing data solutions for the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services, focusing on SAS Enterprise Guide and visual analytics to support Medicaid services.

  • Identifying data sources and data elements to meet business requirements
  • Creating and supporting automated data extracts and interface processes
  • Creating extract files, reports, and analytics dashboards
  • Modifying existing processes to meet business requirements
  • Designing, developing, and testing solutions that meet complex business requirements
  • Working with business users to understand requirements
  • Collaborating with team members and stakeholders at all levels of the organization, external agencies, CMS, VITA, and vendors
  • Managing multiple assignments concurrently and meeting important target dates
  • 5 years of experience with SAS Enterprise Guide and visual analytics for data analysis and reporting
  • 5 years of experience with data architecture, data integration, data visualization, reporting, and process automation
  • 5 years of experience with SAS programming, R, and PL/SQL
  • 5 years of experience with Oracle, DB2, and MS SQL Server
  • 5 years of experience with ETL tools and Business Analytics tools
  • 5 years of demonstrated ability to design, develop, and test solutions for complex user and agency requirements
