The SAS Data Analyst role at Insight Global involves leveraging technical expertise in SQL and SAS programming to transform complex datasets into actionable insights. The analyst will design and execute SQL queries, develop SAS programs for reporting and statistical analysis, and create dashboards to monitor key performance indicators. This position requires collaboration with stakeholders to understand business needs and implement data validation processes to ensure high data quality. Additionally, the analyst will mentor junior team members and maintain comprehensive documentation of data management processes.

  • Design and execute sophisticated SQL queries to manage large-scale datasets.
  • Develop and maintain SAS programs for automated reporting and statistical analysis.
  • Create and optimize stored procedures and views to enhance data accessibility.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators.
  • Identify meaningful trends and patterns to support strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of technical processes and data dictionaries.
  • Implement robust data validation and cleaning procedures to maintain high data quality standards.
  • Provide mentorship to junior analysts in SQL and SAS programming.
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field; Master's preferred.
  • 5+ years of data analysis experience with advanced SQL skills (complex joins, window functions, query optimization).
  • Expertise in SAS programming including macro development, PROC SQL, Base SAS, and SAS/STAT.
  • Proficiency with major database platforms (SQL Server, Oracle) and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking skills.
  • Excellence in communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly in Excel for data analysis.
  • Experience with statistical modeling and at least one additional programming language (Python or R).
  • Industry certifications in SQL or SAS and experience with version control systems (Git) are highly valued.
