  • Provision of technical support for the service management function to resolve more complex issues for a specific client or group of clients.
  • Execution of preventative maintenance tasks on hardware and software and utilization of monitoring tools/metrics to identify, prevent and address potential issues and ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintenance of a knowledge base containing detailed documentation of resolved cases for future reference, self-service opportunities and knowledge sharing.
  • Analysis of system logs, error messages and user reports to identify the root causes of hardware, software and network issues.
  • Providing a resolution to these issues by fixing or replacing faulty hardware components, reinstalling software, or applying configuration changes.
  • Automation, monitoring enhancements, capacity management, resiliency, business continuity management, front office specific support and stakeholder management.
  • Identification and remediation or raising, through appropriate process, of potential service impacting risks and issues.
  • Proactively assess support activities implementing automations where appropriate to maintain stability and drive efficiency.
  • Experience with SAS BI on SAS 9.4, including SAS Connect, SAS/Intranet Server, SAS OLAP Server, SAS Metadata Server, SAS Object Spawner, and SAS Information on Grid platforms with Load Sharing Facility (LSF).
  • Scheduling and supporting jobs using Tivoli Work Scheduler (TWS), and monitoring/troubleshooting ETL Ab Initio workflows to ensure data accuracy and integrity across Oracle, MongoDB, and Hadoop environments.
  • Tuning the SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence Server Platform to optimize system performance.
  • Working with SAS GRID to support high availability and resiliency failover requirements.
  • Knowledge of software languages, platforms, tools, the ITIL framework, and methodologies such as SDLC and Agile.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Snowflake.
  • Experience with database systems such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, Hadoop, and MongoDB.
  • Infrastructure analysis using AppDynamics and Netcool.
  • SAS certification (e.g., SAS Certified Platform Administrator).
