About The Position

Use SAP Basis Administration skills to lead process improvement in the SAP Application, DB, and Cloud Platform area. Provide SAP Basis Admin support to internal customers and projects. Take ownership of small projects. Communicate with management and escalate issues as needed. Monitor day-to-day project execution to ensure that the plan is being followed. Ensure system support documentation is kept up to date and contains any changes as a result of any upgrades or redesigns. Create data migration/system integration strategies. Work with the functional teams to understand the functional requirements. Drive and suggest technical infrastructure design decisions for various SAP solutions across various functional areas. Analyze, design, build, and test complex or high priority solutions. Implement the application specific parameter changes to improve performance. Monitor the system and configure the alerts for the production system to make sure the availability of system to the maximum. Responsible for identifying and prototyping new technologies and solutions to assist the overall IT team. Fix defects identified during the QA and Regression testing. Review technical work product and test results to ensure zero defect deliverables. Create system guidelines and manuals for organization using company process methodology and templates. Implement the Note code corrections or enhance the features in Development. Analyze the problems in the existing systems of the project and recommend further automation of data processing. Review and unit test the developed modules of the application based on the test case scenario and requirement. Engage in project/release scoping discussions with business units to understand business requirements and complexity to ensure the appropriate SAP infrastructure services and capabilities are available. Coordinate the maintenance plan meetings and facilitate the changes for the production environment. Provide the root cause analysis and fixes for production issues. Maintain, upgrade, and migrate the SAP systems to latest versions/revisions from older releases to improve the service, provide innovative solutions, and build new business model. Troubleshoot technical issues and maintain them in the defect reporting tool. Risk mitigation planning. Conduct regular reviews of systems and generate reports on efficiencies and improvement areas. Work with the change management team to migrate the development objects to production through ChaRM tool. Prepare and document SAP project implementation and back out plan for a smooth go-live. Evaluate all possible strategies to migrate the OS and Database of SAP systems based on the acceptable business downtime commitment. Evaluate current or emerging technologies to consider factors such as cost, portability, compatibility, and/or usability. Prepare the work flow diagrams and interface integration diagrams.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a directly related field of study with a focus in Information Technology, plus the following experience:
  • 8 years of progressively responsible and related hands-on experience in SAP Basis technologies to include leading teams through implementation, upgrade, and maintenance projects.
  • 8 years of experience in EACH of the following current technologies that support SAP systems: SAP HANA, SAP S4 HANA, SAP Netweaver, SAP enterprise portal, SAP JAVA, SAP Process Integration (PI), Oracle DB, Sybase DB, SQL DB, Unix, SAP BOBJ, SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP), CloudConnector, SAP CPI, Transportation Management (TM), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), Master Data Governance (MDG), Fiori, Web Dispatcher, Solution Manager, Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Enable Now, SAP Near-Line Storage (NLS), Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), OAuth, Mutual TLS (mTLS), Two-factor Authentication, HANA HA, HANA replication, SAP enqueue High Availability (HA), and SAP Router.
  • 8 years of hands-on experience in EACH of the following: system refresh/copy, backups restore/recovery, disaster recovery, server sizing, consolidation, and high availability set up.
  • 8 years of experience handling 24/7 system support.
  • 8 years of combined experience in working with Service-Level Agreement (SLA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Document to provide timely support to internal and external customers.
  • 6 years of experience with the understanding and application of EACH of the following: ERP, S4, CAR, EWM, Gateway, PIPO, system development life cycle, dynamics of applications development projects, and Information Technology practices and methods.
  • 8 years of combined experience with the understanding and application of principles, techniques, and methodology for EACH of the following: project management, quality management, and change management.
  • 8 years of experience using EACH of the following: PC, Internet, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Project), Windows server, Linux server, JIRA, Confluence, Service Now, Share point, Putty, WinSCP, SAP GUI, and SAP Secure Login Client.
  • 8 years of experience using EACH of the following: SAP NetWeaver Business Client (NWBC), Memory Analyzer Tool (MAT), HANA studio, and HANA cockpit.
  • 8 years of experience using EACH of the following: Software Update Manager (SUM) and Database Migration Option (DMO).
  • 5 years of experience with on-premise system to cloud migration to Google Cloud Platform in SAP ERP Central Component(ECC) to S4 HANA.
  • Hybrid position. Must reside within commuting distance from employer's Kennesaw, GA office.
  • Various unanticipated locations.
  • Requires up to 5% domestic travel to other company worksite locations.
