About The Position

Act as the FICO lead for SAP financial solutions on various client projects. Implement the following FICO functionalities: FI – Core (GL/New GL/AR/AP); CO – Core (Cost Center, Internal Order); Fixed Assets; Parallel Accounting/Document Splitting; Profit Center and Segment Accounting; Core ERP Planning and Budgeting; Product Cost Controlling; Profitability Analysis; Project Systems Cost Controlling; Investment Management; and Reporting Tools (Writer, Painter, Query). Analyze client financial business requirements and map to appropriate solutions (SAP or other 3rd party solutions). Design and architect SAP financial software solutions based on customer requirements, proactively identifying key integration areas with other functional teams. Provide system enhancement options to address requirements not supported by core SAP software financial solutions. Provide enhanced validation of the SAP software financial solution focusing on key integration points, strategic business requirements, and alignment to the business financial roadmap. Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to upper management and executives focused on analyzing key financial business functions. Provide go-live support and identification of finance areas with potential for future improvement. Research and become enabled on the latest SAP products and solutions for finance and controlling. Determine if solution has relevancy for our customer base or inflight projects. Stay current on changes to local and international accounting standards such as US GAAP and IFRS. Convey impact of said changes on proposed ERP-based solutions. Perform technical evaluations of potential hires or subcontract employees to gauge understanding of general accounting principles, financial business. Evaluate and mentor less experienced colleagues as they build their business process and SAP capabilities knowledge. Work with presales team on proposal development and assure Request for Proposals responses are in line with SAP FICO solutions. Multiple positions available. Requires up to 100% domestic and international travel. Requires travel to unanticipated client sites throughout the U.S. May work remotely.

Requirements

• Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or a related field of study plus seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or seven (7) years of experience in any SAP project implementation-related occupation in which the required experience was gained.
• Alternatively, position requires a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or a related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience in any SAP project implementation-related occupation in which the required experience was gained.
• Requires SAP project implementation experience in Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO).
• Requires extensive integration experience with other process areas.
• Requires extensive leadership experience on SAP software financial solution implementation and support projects.
• Requires experience configuring multiple SAP modules or experience across multiple industries.
• Requires experience in multiple, full life cycle SAP project implementations.
• Requires excellent communication skills in a client facing position.
• Requires up to 100% domestic and international travel.
• Requires travel to unanticipated client sites throughout the U.S.
