About The Position

Strategic Analysis, Inc. is in search of a Junior SAP Security Specialist supports the security posture of Special Access Programs (SAPs) by assisting senior staff in various security disciplines. This role requires a foundational understanding of program protection, classification architectures, Physical Security (PHYSEC), Personnel Security (PERSEC), SAP Program Security, Operations Security (OPSEC), Communications Security (COMSEC), and security principles governing classified activities.

Requirements

  • BS with 3 to 5 years of related DoD or IC experience.
  • Candidates must hold a TS/SCI with the willingness and ability to pass a CI polygraph; it is highly desirable for candidates to have taken and passed CI polygraph within the past three years.
  • Foundational knowledge of SAP security principles.
  • Understanding of physical, personnel, and industrial security requirements within the SAP context.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of security architectures for classified programs.
  • Support the research and development of program protection strategies.
  • Assist in the application and monitoring of appropriate security requirements (physical, information, personnel, industrial) for specific programs.
  • Draft sections of DD 254s and other security documentation under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Develop familiarity with Executive Order 13526, the NISPOM, DoD Information Security Manuals, and DoD SAP Security Manuals.
  • Support the creation, processing, coordination, and approval of physical security (SAP Facility and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) and Automated Information Systems (AIS)) accreditations.
  • Assist in the creation and review of security documentation (e.g., SCGs, PPPs, Test Security Plans, etc.).
  • Provide support for meetings and program reviews.
  • Assist with OPSEC analysis and support activities.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as preparing meeting minutes, assisting with visitor control, and other duties as assigned.
