The work The SAP Project Systems (PS) / Portfolio & Project Management (PPM) Consultant is responsible for the design, configuration, and optimization of SAP PS and PPM solutions to manage complex programs, ensuring compliance with federal acquisition regulations, cost controls, and earned value management (EVM) requirements. The consultant will partner with engineering, program management, finance, and government stakeholders to ensure accurate project planning, cost tracking, scheduling, and reporting across highly regulated defense programs. They will analyze and design new business processes to create documentation that guides the implementation of new processes and technologies. They will partner with the business to define product requirements and use cases to meet process and functional requirements. They will also participate in user and task analysis to represent business needs.

Requirements

  • 4+ years SAP Project Systems experience
  • In-depth expertise in SAP PS for manufacturing environment and SAP Portfolio and Project Management (PPM)
  • S/4HANA project experience
  • Experience with implementation and configuration of SAP PS structure: WBS, Network, Milestones, Cost Planning, Budgeting, Material Requirement Planning, Project quotation, Goods issues, and other project management activities in SAP PS
  • US Citizens only (no dual citizenship)
  • Minimum of an active Secret Clearance
  • You must live local to St. Louis, MO (preferred) or Philadelphia, PA OR be willing to travel to St. Louis every week Monday-Friday

Nice To Haves

  • Team Lead experience
  • Aerospace & Defense or U.S. Federal manufacturing/MRO project experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to gather requirements and design solutions to meet Business process designs requirements
  • Integrate with cross-process teams, CO, FI, MM, SD and PP
  • Work with technical counterparts to ensure technical solutions meet all functional requirements
  • Business process design and system analysis
  • Coordinate and manage across architects, developers, technical services (i.e. BASIS, Middleware, Portal) and business analysts to perform business analyst functions and responsibilities
  • Maintenance, enhancement and/or development of SAP modules, including interfacing with other applications
  • Develop test strategies and manage large complex test efforts
  • Budgeting, staffing, forecasting and work planning
  • May manage a team, including mentoring and training junior team members
