About The Position
SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) Subject Matter Expert (SME) 📍 Remote – Poland | 💼 Long-term B2B cooperation | 🌍 Global S/4HANA Project 💶 Up to €3,500/month (B2B) Our client is a leading global company in the agricultural sector, providing innovative crop protection solutions that help farmers combat weeds, insects, and diseases. We are recruiting an SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join the global Center of Excellence (CoE) team driving a worldwide S/4HANA transformation. This is a full-time, long-term B2B position, available remotely from Poland. As a Plant Maintenance SME, you will own the Global Template (GT) in the PM area. You will design, configure, and test SAP PM module functionalities, document business processes, and ensure consistent adoption of global standards across regions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on SAP functional experience as an SAP PM Analyst/Consultant (experience solely as a Key User is not sufficient).
- Strong understanding of core maintenance business processes.
- Ability to translate business requirements into SAP configurations and detailed specifications.
- Experience preparing functional designs, test cases, and test documentation.
- Deep functional and configuration expertise across key PM areas:
- Preventive Maintenance
- Corrective Maintenance
- Technical Objects Management
- Strong understanding of integrations with MM (spare parts procurement) and FI/CO (cost settlement).
- Analytical, independent, and detail-oriented approach to problem solving.
- Fluent English, spoken and written.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in a global or governance-based environment.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA.
- Ability to read and debug ABAP code.
- Understanding of related modules: QM, MM, PP.
Responsibilities
- Safeguard and maintain the Global Template (GT) for PM, minimizing deviations from the company’s Business Process Documents (BPDs).
- Ensure that BPDs are always updated with approved changes.
- Manage change requests and critical incidents related to the PM stream.
- Share knowledge and provide guidance to local level-1 support teams.
- Perform detailed analysis of business requirements and deliver appropriate SAP system configurations.
- Lead or participate in internal projects introducing new functionalities or improving existing ones.
- Collaborate with cross-functional, development, and technical teams across multiple global locations.
- Prepare detailed functional design documents and ensure accurate communication with technical teams.
- Identify system limitations, propose efficient workarounds, and design long-term process solutions.
- Facilitate workshops to collect requirements and define objectives for new rollouts.
- Review and optimize proposed designs to reduce complexity and enhance maintainability.
- Work with regional and local teams to ensure adoption of globally recommended solutions.
- Ensure timely delivery and quality of all PM-related project deliverables.
- Report progress and risks in alignment with project governance processes.
