About The Position
SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) Subject Matter Expert (SME) 📍 Remote – Poland | 💼 Long-term B2B cooperation | 🌍 Global S/4HANA Project 💶 Up to €5000/month (B2B) Our client is a leading global company in the agricultural sector, providing innovative crop protection solutions that help farmers combat weeds, insects, and diseases. We are recruiting a Service Matter Expert (SME) for Plant Maintenance (SAP PM) to join the global Center of Excellence (CoE) team leading a worldwide S/4HANA transformation. This is a full-time, long-term B2B role, based remotely from Poland. As a Plant Maintenance SME, you will own and evolve the Global Template (GT) for the PM area. You’ll design, customize, configure, and test SAP PM solutions — ensuring alignment with the company’s global standards and business process documents (BPDs).
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on SAP functional experience as an SAP PM Analyst/Consultant (experience as a Key User only is not sufficient).
- Strong understanding of core maintenance business processes.
- Proven ability to translate business needs into SAP configuration and specifications.
- Experience documenting functional designs, test cases, and results.
- Deep functional and configuration expertise in core PM processes:
- Preventive Maintenance
- Corrective Maintenance
- Technical Objects Management
- Integrative knowledge with related modules: MM (spare parts) and FI/CO (cost settlement).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently.
- Fluent English (spoken and written).
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a global team or governance role.
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA projects.
- Ability to read and debug ABAP code.
- Familiarity with adjacent modules: QM, MM, PP.
Responsibilities
- Safeguard and evolve the Global Template (GT) in PM, ensuring consistency across regional implementations.
- Keep BPDs (Business Process Documents) updated with every approved change.
- Manage PM stream activities: change requests, critical incidents, and enhancements.
- Support and share knowledge with local level-1 support teams.
- Analyze business processes and configure SAP PM to meet global requirements.
- Participate in or lead internal projects to implement new functionalities and optimize existing ones.
- Collaborate closely with global cross-functional and technical teams to implement robust solutions.
- Create detailed functional design documents, ensuring alignment between business and technical teams.
- Conduct workshops to collect business requirements for global rollouts.
- Promote process optimization, reduce system complexity, and minimize ongoing maintenance.
- Work with regional and local teams to adopt globally recommended solutions and integrations.
- Ensure project deliverables for the PM stream are met on time and within scope.
- Track and report on project progress within the global governance framework.
