About The Position

As the SAP Platform Director, you will be a pivotal leader responsible for architecting, optimizing, and stewarding Ford's critical SAP ecosystem across both on-premise and cloud environments. You will drive the strategic direction and operational excellence of our SAP platforms, ensuring unwavering availability, robust scalability, and peak performance to power our global business operations. This role demands a visionary leader who can combine deep technical expertise with exceptional team leadership and strategic planning to deliver a best-in-class SAP foundation that directly supports Ford's innovation and growth objectives. Lead a global team (US, Mexico, India) of 40+ team members. Oversee the administration of enterprise SAP platforms (ECC and S/4 HANA), including on-premise and cloud environments. Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for SAP platform operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the availability, scalability and performance of SAP systems. Steward deliverables for ECC to S/4 HANA upgrades and cloud migration. Lead a team of SAP Basis and Security, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to foster their growth and development. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement SAP solutions that meet business requirements and support future growth. Establish and maintain strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, external vendors and service providers to ensure seamless delivery of SAP services. Define and enforce best practices, standards and policies for SAP platform management, security and governance. Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, identifying areas for optimization and efficiency gains. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in SAP platform management, incorporating relevant advancements into the SAP ecosystem. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in SAP platform management (including ECC and S/4 HANA), with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
  • Deep expertise in SAP Basis administration, including system monitoring, performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of SAP security principles and best practices, with experience implementing and maintaining robust security controls.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with the ability to inspire and motivate global teams to achieve excellence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications in SAP, Informatica and Google cloud preferred
