You will work closely with global team members, end users, and other IT departments to implement, support and maintain security solutions and security policies that protect the corporation. Responsibilities include providing escalated second-level customer support of identity, access, data loss prevention, vulnerability management, and testing. You will implement and configure developed security solutions and further refine standard support and documentation consistent with existing security policy.

  • Provide advanced access troubleshooting and production support as needed in all systems across the enterprise, related to roles, authorizations, org levels and table structures.
  • Resolve and troubleshoot incidents which have been escalated from first-level support, technical teams, end users and SAP Security Analyst, professionally within established SLAs, with accurate communication to the appropriate parties.
  • Serve as an SME in 2 or more areas.
  • Identify and lead small or medium Continuous Improvement projects, assist in larger, more complex Continuous Improvement projects with direction from Architects, seeking opportunities to more effectively address team processes and customer needs.
  • Participate in and support the SOX Compliance processes, providing support to engineers. Perform and/or oversee compliance processes and testing. Ensure SOX controls are followed and effective.
  • Execute intermediate to advanced changes in security access systems based on results from analysis or designs received from engineers, Risk & Compliance, Internal Audit, External Audit, and other functions as deemed appropriate.
  • Serve as a technical escalation resource to less experienced team members and Security Administration Support Analyst team.
  • Actively protects the integrity and confidentiality of Grainger information assets while enabling business functionality in all systems and environments by implementing and supporting applicable security solutions.
  • Ensure the safeguarding of information assets in SAP by having awareness of basic procedures and policies and promoting awareness of those policies to resource owners and users.
  • Ensure that roles created and assigned do not create unmitigated risks for the business.
  • Perform and support advanced unit testing, integration testing, implementation, troubleshooting, and production support as needed in all SAP modules.
  • When necessary, escalate appropriately to the correct internal support teams per established escalation procedure.
  • Participate as required, in analyzing, developing, and implementing intermediate to advanced SAP security solutions, as requested by business and process team partners or with direction from engineers.
  • Accurately record, in a timely manner, all interactions with customers in the incident management tracking tool.
  • Help to standardize documentation for support of assigned systems and applications and help to facilitate understanding and use within level one support organization. Create documentation for self, peers or offshore team. Review documentation created by Analysts and provide feedback for improvements and accuracy.
  • Supports departmental and corporate goals by meeting key performance indicators and defined metrics.
  • Serve as a backup to SAP Security Analyst in all areas and engineers in at least 1 area.
  • Provide 24-hour support on a rotating schedule.
  • Ensure documentation is completed and training occurs prior to production acceptance, follows SDLC processes and procedures, completing required project documents.
  • Once systems are officially turned over for production implementation, resolve incidents by determining and documenting solutions within the enterprise service management tool.
  • Highlight any individual or team training / knowledge gaps that may exist and work with management to address/resolve.
  • Expert understanding of SAP security; Exposure to Identity technologies and understanding of integration of applications within a distributed environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, change and provision roles and tasks in the security access systems (e.g. SAP, IDV) via standard business applications.
  • Expert understanding of position based security model within the HR Org and distribution throughout the enterprise.
  • Ability to address and/or escalate suspected security exposures/vulnerabilities, misuse, or noncompliance reported to team using applicable security technologies (e.g. DLP, Vulnerability Mgmt., Incident Response tools).
  • Manage Sensitive Access and Segregation of Duties conflicts.
  • Expert understanding of Risk and Compliance framework, regulatory compliance (Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and PCI-DSS).
  • Demonstrates an advanced understanding of how security access systems integrate across the enterprise.
  • 5+ years of experience or training in security access systems fundamentals.
  • 5+ years of experience or training in SAP security experience REQUIRED in 6 or more areas (ECC 6, BPC, Success factors, EWM, GRC 12, etc.).
  • Knowledge and ability to teach/mentor a level I analyst or intern provides regular knowledge transfer to team members.
  • Understand dependencies between most technical systems with ability to implement solutions across the environment.
  • Able to communicate cross functionally between technical partners.
  • Experience writing, executing and troubleshooting complex Power shell, CATT scripts, writing and debugging simple to intermediate ABAP programs.
  • Participate in existing vendor management, including renegotiation and annual true-up processes.
  • Experienced in leading medium security access system upgrades.
