Requirements

  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a coding academy/bootcamp, apprenticeship, associate, bachelor's, master's, or JD/PhD program.
  • Must be able to work full-time hours to support welcome onboarding week (M-F 8 am - 5 pm).
  • Detail oriented, agile, and flexible.
  • Outgoing and supportive of new hires.
  • Creative thinker who brings new ideas to the table.
  • Takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in event planning or coordination.
  • Familiarity with onboarding processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a welcoming and engaging process for our new hires as you support the delivery of our marquee Welcome Onboarding Week events.
  • Provide logistical support for in-person events, including securing rooms, catering, equipment, and networking events.
  • Create a welcoming environment, communicate local guidelines, and support with on-site questions and tracking attendance.
  • Support the production of sessions and lead engaging activities to ensure continuous learning for our new hires.
  • Build relationships with on-site leaders and speakers, creating an atmosphere of gratitude for volunteers.
  • Manage end-to-end onboarding process through ticket support, class scheduling, and proactive engagement with new hires.
  • Work on continuous improvement projects to support our new hires.
