SummarySimplot is undergoing a significant transformation aimed at enhancing value delivery for our customers now and in the future. Central to this initiative is a "Green-Field" implementation of SAP S/4 HANA, which will serve as the foundation for our operational transformation. The SAP Practice at Simplot is tasked with developing solutions within the new S/4 HANA environment to address the diverse and evolving needs of our global business.   We are seeking an innovative and results-oriented Functional Lead to join our team and support our ongoing business initiatives. The Functional Lead position requires business process expertise, the ability to design the solution architecture for their process area, collaboration with Functional Leads and team members across the different process areas, and overall leadership within the team. The leadership aspect of this role involves leading and mentoring functional team members, overseeing system integrator resources both on-shore and off-shore, and collaborating directly with business leaders to design, build, and implement future-focused solutions for Simplot. Team members are expected to leverage the extensive capabilities of SAP products to align with our strategic objectives.   This role will focus on the source-to-pay (STP) products and related processes. That includes SAP MM, SAP ACM (Agricultural Contract Management), and Vistex Grower Management solutions. These solutions cover business processes used for procurement teams, commodity contracting, grower management, farm management, and more.

Requirements

  • 10+ Years of proven experience as an SAP MM Functional Lead/Analyst, SAP MM Consultant or IT Business Lead related to Source to Pay processes and underlying SAP capabilities are required.
  • Business process experience in procurement contracting, purchasing, receiving, and inventory management is required.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies is required
  • Good understanding of standards, guidelines, and best practices to be used during    development are required.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

Nice To Haves

  • Proven knowledge of the SAP Fiori elements and how to drive standardization and re-utilization of elements in a quest to develop a common UX repository is preferred.
  • S/4HANA and SAP RISE experience are preferred.
  • Excellent understanding of various integration patterns between SAP products and non-SAP Products and when to utilize these patterns is preferred.
  • Direct experience utilizing Scrum and/or the Scaled Agile Framework for Enterprise (SAFe) is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the SAP Agricultural Contract Management (ACM) and Vistex Grower Management spaces to ensure production stability and compliance across the SAP enterprise landscape.
  • Collaborate with the Product Managers, Business Process team members, and other Functional Leads to transform business needs (the “what” and “why”) into a solution design (the “how”).
  • Apply advanced expertise to designing an enterprise solution – primarily for SAP Agricultural Contract Management (ACM), Vistex Grower Management and connected platforms.
  • Provide oversight for the Functional Analysts and the work they deliver.
  • Ensure adherence to our design tenets and clean-core guidelines.
  • Own end-to-end delivery for complex business processes and integrations. That includes design, configuration/development, testing, cutover, and hyper-care.
  • Exercise independent judgment within design tenets and policies to determine fit-to-standard vs. customization.
  • Improve reliability, usability, and efficiency for core procurement and inventory processes through continuous improvement, automation, analytics, and AI.
  • Follow change/release governance (e.g., ChaRM/ADO), security/GRC/SoD controls, and audit expectations; maintain traceability from requirements through test evidence and approvals.
  • Partner with product managers, functional leads, data/security teams, and business SMEs to clarify requirements, align priorities, and drive decisions; facilitate business sessions and demos.
  • Deliver and present prototype solutions in anticipation of current and future utilization.
