About the position

The SAP ERP Test Lead at Cengage Group is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and testing processes for SAP S4 Hana Implementation projects. This role involves mentoring QA engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software, and leading testing efforts across multiple workstreams. The position requires hands-on experience in SAP testing and a strong understanding of QA methodologies, with a focus on delivering solutions that are fit for purpose and right the first time.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end QA and testing delivery on SAP S4 Hana Implementation projects.
• Develop test planning, design, and execution strategies using SAP Activate methodology.
• Write testing documentation including test strategy, scope, and plans.
• Ensure efficient operation and continuous improvement of testing processes.
• Build and maintain testing libraries to keep them up to date.
• Identify QA needs, constraints, and dependencies during the full SDLC.
• Coordinate QA resources across multiple workstreams and assist with project testing support.
• Plan and deliver testing landmarks for projects, including UAT preparation and execution.
• Generate daily test status reports and handle test data creation and validation.
• Conduct risk assessments and prioritize testing efforts.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant software development quality assurance experience.
• 6+ years of ERP S4 HANA Testing experience across workstreams.
• 4+ years of Test lead experience in ERP S4 HANA implementation projects.
• Proficient in test documentation and standard SAP processes.
• Strong leadership skills to guide the SAP testing team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Agile methodology and Sprint ceremonies.
• Familiarity with QA tools such as Jira and Zephyr.
