About The Position

Red is searching for an SAP Direct Procurement Consultant (Oil & Gas) - Downstream to join us with one of our biggest global clients! This position is remote with occasional travel to Houston. The request start date is 4/1/25 and the request end date is 12/31/2025. As part of the SAP Design Success team, you will actively participate in the Explore phase of the SAP S/4HANA transformation project, demonstrating expertise and knowledge in the SAP Direct Procurement domain within the Oil & Gas HCVC value chain (Downstream).

Requirements

• Strong experience and understanding of SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing/Direct Procurement E2E processes and integration with other SAP modules and third-party systems.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP MM S/4HANA module, specifically contracts, purchasing, and pricing.
• Experience in customizing SAP Direct Procurement modules for downstream Oil & Gas processes.
• Strong expertise in MM configurations and settings.
• Ability to optimize Materials Management Direct Procurement processes.
• Experience in the Chemical and/or Oil & Gas (downstream) industry.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate business requirements to determine product roadmap strategy alignment and potential best practice solution approaches.
• Support and guide the customer & SI through preparing demo system in relation to the configuration related to the SAP Direct Procurement capabilities.
• Work effectively with SI through leading and planning Fit-to-Standard & Detail Design (Explore) and assist as the deployment transitions from Explore to Build phases.
• Contribute to design workshops, requirements gathering, and solution validation.
• Provide expert guidance and support during the project lifecycle.
• Analyze pain points provided by the customer and assist the team/scrum to produce solution scenarios.
• Identify and communicate challenges to Solution Design Lead and SAP HCVC Delivery Lead.
• Explore existing user exits/enhancements to map to SAP S/4HANA Direct Procurement best practices.
• QA/Support SAP partner's development of S/4HANA Direct Procurement prototype and functional configuration.
