As an SAP/CAP Security Specialist at Parsons, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and managing Special Access Programs (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security programs. Your responsibilities will include providing status reports and recommendations for decision-making processes. You will be expected to develop security training and implement policies in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Proficiency with the Department of Defense (DoD) SAP Security Manuals 5205.07 volumes 1-4, ICD 705, and the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) is essential for this role. In this position, you will collaborate and coordinate with various security offices and divisions to develop solutions for complex security issues related to Special Access Programs and Compartmented Access Programs. You will provide agency-level technical expertise concerning identified security disciplines and operations, ensuring that security applications are monitored through the review and analysis of appropriate metrics while maintaining required records. Your role will also involve preparing and disseminating security procedures and guidance, including Operation Security plans and Classification Guides. You will manage project and program milestones, conduct inspections, and perform assistance visits as required. Additionally, you will interpret security policy regarding the processing, dissemination, and control of classified material, acting as a liaison between the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and other federal agencies and contractors. Risk management will be a key aspect of your responsibilities, as you will conduct surveys and render impact statements or recommendations. You will prepare and deliver briefings to both internal and external customers, ensuring that security operations are effectively monitored and managed. Your experience in supporting security concepts, principles, and practices will be vital in analyzing and resolving complex security issues, as well as investigating and preparing impact statements on security violations. Some travel may be required for this position.
