Location: This position is located in Maple Grove, MN area with Hybrid work, 3 days in office and 2 days remote. Must live in Minnesota market. Up to 10% travel. The SAP Business Process Expert is responsible for all local SAP-related tasks to ensure a day to day business operation and a smooth transformation of the company processes and management. This person will have solid experience of Project Management to lead, manage and conduct complex SAP projects and enhancements on time and within budget. Our company moves to SAP S/4HANA and it is critical to lead and support all businesses and platforms through this transition. The SAP Business Process Expert is deeply knowledgeable of the company current SAP processes and background jobs and works with the fit4 SAP S/4HANA Team and the company departments to promote the first point of escalation for power/key users in terms of SAP support, knowledge, and training. They have in-depth experience, knowledge, and skills in own discipline. They support all other departments (~ 300 users) in their day to day businesses and promote efficiency and continuous improvement for all SAP -Zeiss processes. As a deep experienced user of the Zeiss SAP processes, the SAP Business Process Expert recommends and works with his peers to support the AI optimization to add value stream to the company processes. The position locally reports to the Digital Solutions Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Information Systems, data engineering industrial engineering, computer science or a comparable degree
  • 3-5 years experience handling projects with results reporting to direct users and management.
  • 5 years SAP experience.
  • Must have a Super-User level of knowledge in SAP R3 and ideally known experience with SAP 4 Hannah.
  • Experience ideally in in logistics and / or production modules
  • Knowledge & applied experience using different methodologies (waterfall & agile).
  • Demonstrable expertise in requirements gathering, functional design, business process analysis
  • Self-starter – Team player and Customer-focused mindset
  • Opportunities to use and develop AI tools in the day to day business and within long projects implementation

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Celonis software or similar (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the business’ interface to the Regional Solution Center for SAP related issues.
  • First point of contact for the business regarding SAP-related change requests and project demands.
  • Plan, lead and run resolution for SAP issues /requests and projects
  • Pro-actively identify and address areas of concern or potential obstacles in the way of project success.
  • Provides Master Data Updates (Material, Customer, Vendor).
  • Translating business requirements into functional specifications.
  • Support end to end processes in interaction with relevant departments / sites.
  • Lead projects from definition, design through implementation phases (all project phases).
  • Being the first point of escalation for the key users in terms of SAP support.
  • Ability to persuade and influence other divisions and business groups.
  • Planning, coordinating and overseeing Non-Regression Tests (NRT) to mitigate business risks of changes introduced by Business Releases and Maintenance Releases.
  • Identify and share value stream processes and KPI reporting.
  • Perform other duties as directed by Management.
  • Manage, process Master Data and provide shared live reports to support transformation of the businesses and processes.
  • Providing training to SAP end users.
  • Consistently builds self-help environment culture through interactions with super users, end users, and business partners domestically and internationally
