SAP Business One Systems Analyst

About The Position

The SAP Business One Systems Analyst will manage the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the SAP B1 environment. This technical-functional hybrid role combines system expertise with a strong understanding of business processes. Responsibilities include maintaining data accuracy, supporting integrations, and ensuring consistent system performance across all site instances. The position also serves as a bridge between leadership, IT, and operational teams, enabling data-driven insights, dashboards, and automation that enhance visibility, accuracy, and efficiency across finance, procurement, production, logistics, and inventory management. This role provides the opportunity to shape how data flows through manufacturing systems and to influence process efficiency across the organization.

Requirements

3+ years of experience supporting or administering SAP Business One (HANA or SQL Server), within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with SQL queries and data analysis
Familiarity with Crystal Reports or similar reporting tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to data integrity.
Strong organizational, communication, and prioritization skills.
Demonstrated root-cause analysis skills.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and data governance.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Boyum / Beas / B1UP or similar SAP add-ons.
Direct experience with SAP ERP (preferably S/4HANA) in supply chain, materials management (MM), or production planning (PP) modules.
Complete understanding of MRP, BOMs, and production workflows in a manufacturing setting a plus (aerospace or UAV experience preferred).
Experience with data visualization tools a plus (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense).
Advanced Excel and SQL skills; ability to extract, clean, and analyze large datasets.
Familiarity with PLM, MES, and quality management systems a plus.
Lean/continuous improvement mindset; experience with process mapping and automation preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain and configure SAP Business One modules, forms, and user-defined fields.
Manage user access, permissions, and system configuration settings.
Assist with system updates and upgrades, data migration, and integration of new manufacturing or engineering tools (PLM, MES, Quality modules).
Troubleshoot functional and technical issues, coordinating with IT, hosting, or support vendors as needed.
Perform data imports, exports, and reconciliations between SAP and external systems.
Collaborate with end users to document requirements and implement process enhancements.
Customize screens and layouts to improve usability and business process flow.
Support small-scale development (queries, formatted searches, validation scripts, etc.)
Write and optimize SQL queries and views for reporting, analytics, and troubleshooting.
Create and maintain documentation for configurations, integrations, and queries.
Document and standardize business processes; develop training materials and support users in SAP best practices.
Work with SAP partner to manage requests and support tickets.
