About The Position

At QuidelOrtho, we’re advancing the power of diagnostics for a healthier future for all. Join our mission as our next SAP BTP Senior Developer. This role will lead migration initiatives, design and build complex interfaces, ensure robust error handling and performance optimization, and serve as a subject matter expert on integration strategies. The position requires in-depth technical work and collaboration with functional/architecture stakeholders, managing end-to-end integrations across cloud, on-premises SAP, and third-party systems. This position is remote eligible, with a strong preference for candidates who reside in New Jersey.

Requirements

  • 5- 7 years solid experience in conceptualizing, developing, and maintaining SAP Integrations in SAP Process Orchestration (PO) 7.X
  • Extensive Process integration (SAP PI/PO) monitoring and architecture knowledge.
  • Solid Knowledge of Web Services with configuring of Adapters like IDOC, RFC, FILE, AS2, SOAP, REST, HTTP, FTP, email
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in SAP Cloud Platform Integration (SCPI) / SAP BTP Integration Suite Cloud foundry environment.
  • End to end Integration capability including requirement analysis, conceptualization, design, configuration and testing of integration scenarios.
  • Experience with Java Development, Java Maps and one or more of either XSLT, XML, WSDL and XSD.
  • Knowledge of EDI standards such as X12 and EDIFACT.
  • Experience in Integration related security such as certificate handling and authentication via certificate based or OAUTH2.
  • Fluent in English (verbally and written)
  • Consultant to work on Business Technology Platform Architecture Administration areas, work on the various services offered by SAP in SAP BTP and implement in projects.
  • Know how active and config Entitlements and Plug Services.
  • Know how to handle Destinations and Cloud Connectors
  • Experience with SAP BTP Integration services, PI/PO/XI, System integration experience
  • Solid understanding and hands on of Integration principles and patterns, technologies, and protocols (REST, ODATA, SOAP, XML, JSON, Message queues, Identity management, SAML, OAUTH),Custom integrations ,implementation experience in SAP CPI
  • Design Build Configure optimize Test iflows
  • Connectivity using ABAP Proxies: Inbound Proxy and Outbound Proxy

Responsibilities

  • Lead and take ownership of SAP PI/PO and CPI integration landscapes; act as go-to technical lead for integration initiatives.
  • Drive migration efforts from PI/PO to SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI), including strategy, planning, execution, and cutover support.
  • Design, develop, and support integration scenarios connecting SAP ECC / S/4HANA, non-SAP systems, cloud applications, and third-party APIs.
  • Develop and maintain technical artifacts in ESR, ID, SLD, Integration Directory, System Landscape Directory, and Monitoring tools in both single- and dual-stack PI environments.
  • Build and maintain interfaces using various adapters / protocols (for both sender and receiver sides), including but not limited to: Proxy, ALE / IDoc, RFC, REST, SOAP, OData, HTTPS, JMS, JDBC.
  • Author and maintain Message Mappings, Java Mappings, Groovy / script logic, Lookups, Parameterized mappings, UDF / UDS, Value mapping, SPROXY, SOA Manager settings.
  • Craft iFlows, including local subprocesses, exception subprocesses, error handling, retries, branching, split / aggregator patterns, etc.
  • Implement security artifacts: encryption/decryption, certificate & key management (SSH, PGP, SSL/TLS), user mapping, SAML/OAuth if needed.
  • Optimize performance, manage throughput and latency, enable reprocessing, recovery, and error handling (e.g. via Data Store Objects, DLQ, alerts).
  • Understand and enforce Message Implementation Guidelines, Integration Advisor standards, naming conventions, version control best practices.
  • Facilitate transport and change management processes (e.g. CTS+, file transport, change requests, SAP ALM).
  • Provide architectural guidance, conduct technical reviews, participate in solution and integration architecture decisions.
  • Mentor junior integration developers and act as subject matter expert internally.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration incidents, support root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and stabilization initiatives.
  • Collaborate with functional teams, business analysts, solution architects, infrastructure teams, security teams, and external vendors to align integration solutions with business needs
