About The Position
JBS/EMPIRE, MASON is seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to join the Empire Sanitation team as general laborers. This role is essential in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation within a production line setting, ensuring that all machinery and floors are properly cleaned and sanitized. The position requires a proactive approach to cleanliness and organization, as well as the ability to operate heavy equipment safely. Employees will be responsible for setting up, stocking, and maintaining cleaning equipment and supplies, while also monitoring the sanitation of their assigned areas. It is crucial for team members to stay aware of their surroundings and promptly notify a supervisor of any hazards that may arise during their duties. Additionally, employees may be required to perform other tasks as needed or assigned by their supervisors. The work environment is physically demanding, requiring individuals to lift, push, and pull weights of up to 75 pounds occasionally. Employees must be prepared to work in cold, damp conditions typical of a food processing environment, which may involve exposure to various chemicals and machinery. Safety is a priority, and proper personal protective equipment must be utilized effectively at all times. The role also necessitates good communication skills, as employees will need to interact with supervisors and coworkers to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
