Requirements

  • Prior experience in sanitation within a food production facility, preferably in pasta or salsa manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of FDA, USDA, HACCP, and GMP standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate with Quality Assurance and Production teams effectively.
  • Knowledge of proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
  • Commitment to health, safety, and compliance in all sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, HACCP, and GMP sanitation standards.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment, production lines, and facility areas according to established schedules and protocols.
  • Follow all sanitation procedures and use approved cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
  • Disassemble and reassemble production equipment for thorough cleaning.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are met and maintained.
  • Maintain accurate logs and documentation of sanitation activities for audits and internal reviews.
  • Assist in managing the inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management of restocking needs.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
  • Participate in sanitation training programs to stay updated on best practices and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to protect employees and products.
