About The Position

Under the direction of the Manager/Supervisor/Team Lead, the main responsibilities of the Sanitation Worker will be to ensure that the office space, cafeteria space, restrooms, warehouse areas, production areas, hallways in the general production area as well as the lobby and stairwells are always kept clean and well maintained. Responsibilities: Clean offices, laboratories, restrooms, hallways, cafeterias, conference rooms, production areas and other areas within the Plant and facilities. Clean windows, doors, ledges, baseboards, floors, walls, floor-wall junctions and air conditioning vent covers in all office areas, cafeterias and restrooms. Adhere to daily worksheet and master cleaning schedule. Operate trash compactor machine and cardboard baler. Clean outside compactor area including sweeping, hosing down area, etc. Transfer 55-gallon containers to production areas using hand trucks Run floor scrubber throughout the plant according to assigned schedule. Emptying trash receptacles on an ongoing, daily basis. Clean drains in Gummy Production area. Wipe down doors, walls, light switches, etc, for all production, warehouse, office areas Replace paper towels at all hand wash stations Cover other sanitation associates’ duties when department is shorthanded Follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety policies and guidelines. Carry out written instructions and fill out documentation of jobs performed. Adaptability to learn new tasks / skills in cleaning and apply them accordingly All other duties and special projects assigned

Requirements

  • Must comply with GMP requirements; specific functions and documents will be discussed in GMP and on the job training
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, communicate effectively
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning tools strongly preferred
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills in English are required
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Must be able to stand for 8 hours
  • Must be able to work in a physically challenging environment
