About The Position

Reporting to the Sanitation Supervisor &/or Lead. The Sanitation Technician is responsible for all cleaning of soiled supplies and equipment used in the production process. Additionally, this individual is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and efficient work area. May perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of sanitation experience required or relevant work experience.
  • Experience working with sanitation tools, chemicals, & food safety required.
  • Prior food manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with using high pressure hose.
  • Good communication skills and ability to grasp tasks quickly.
  • Job requires lifting up to 50 pounds, must be able to lift/carry/twist/bend/stooping/push/pull
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Work performed in a cold environment

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining a high level of food safety and product quality through the cleaning and sanitation of food processing equipment, utensils, and the facility.
  • Clean buildings by emptying trash, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces.
  • Assemble and disassemble equipment when cleaning
  • Understanding and use of cleaning chemicals.
  • Use of electric or manual pallet jack
  • Other duties as assigned
