The Sanitation Technician performs plant cleaning and sanitation, along with related inspection and audit procedures, including monitoring documentation and environmental sampling. This ensures the production environment complies with corporate and regulatory sanitation requirements at a Sysco Specialty Meat Group (SSMG) location. Responsibilities include daily cleaning and sanitation to prepare for routine or ongoing operations, and line implementation according to regulatory agency directions (CFIA/FSIS/FDA/State/Local authorities) concerning sanitation. Daily tasks involve Cleaning and Sanitizing associated with HACCP Program, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures, Pest Control, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Chemical Control. Occasional duties include assisting with plant audits and providing support during emergency situations as determined by the plant President or GM.
