About The Position

The position involves following procedures and SOPs to perform cleaning on production equipment to ensure safety and hygiene. The employee may record information to reflect sanitation activities and issues and is responsible for advising or updating the supervisor or manager of progress and any non-routine issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• At least six months experience in a sanitation production environment preferred.
• Able to communicate and take direction from the Sanitation Group Lead and/or the Sanitation Supervisor.
• Common math skills, the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Responsibilities

• Follows established procedures in the cleaning and sanitation of idle production equipment.
• Wet washes rooms and production lines.
• Completes required reporting to reflect activity.
• Advises supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.
• Wears personal protective equipment including clothing, footwear, and eyewear.
• Must work safely at all times.
• Must obey all company policies.
• Must be knowledgeable in GMPs, OSHA, SSOPs, and HACCP.
• Be able to read and follow SDS guidelines that deal with different types of cleaning chemicals.
