The main objective of the sanitation crew is to clean and sanitize the plant quickly and efficiently during relatively short time periods between the plans production shifts requiring the Sanitation Technician to work in between production shifts.

Requirements

• At least 1-2 years as sanitation in a food manufacturing environment
• Follow a sanitation schedule, develop and lead others to achieve productivity goals and maintain proper documentation that meet USDA, State, Customer requirements for sanitation
• Ensures clean equipment meets on time release to operations without equipment damage
• Organized, detail oriented, able to handle repetitive tasks quickly and safely
• Must be proactive, responsible, self-motivated and self-managed

Nice To Haves

• High school or equivalent education preferred
• 1 year of sanitation experience preferred

Responsibilities

• On a daily basis, clean and sanitize food/nonfood contact surfaces in production areas
• Perform daily cleaning assignments, inventory chemicals and assist in general plant and warehouse cleanliness as well as perform pre-op inspections
• Frequently lift/move hoses, equipment and chemical containers weighing 20-50lbs
• Able to work in a wet/humid environment wearing protective gear and handle standing, lifting, crouching during long periods of time
• Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety
