About The Position

The Sanitation Technician is responsible for the daily disposal of trash at the resort at various facilities on and off property. Areas of knowledge and experience would include general labor, garbage/trash removal, snow removal, and other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive for this position.) Lifting, transporting, and disposing of garbage in a safe, effective, and environmentally friendly manner. Ensuring recyclables such as glass, paper, and plastic are properly separated. Operate equipment and trash compactors on the property effectively. Works independently coordinating daily workflow in assigned locations across the property. Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools and reassemble equipment. Incumbents may perform any combination of the essential job functions related or unrelated as required or assigned by the Director of Engineering or designee, this may include but not limited to, snow removal, rotating shift, or any other unrelated Engineering job functions. Other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty staff, students, and coworkers is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule that includes evening and weekend duty.
  • Must be able to speak English.
  • These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as through recreational experience.
