About The Position

Toby’s Family Foods is NOW HIRING for Sanitation Team Member in Springfield, Oregon! Toby’s Family Foods is looking to expand our existing team with highly dependable team players. If you are looking for a position with flexibility and don't mind hard work this could be the right fit for you! The best candidates for this position are self-motivated, reliable individuals with a keen eye for detail. The sanitation team plays a critical role at Toby’s Family Foods by ensuring production areas and equipment are cleaned and sanitized to exceed food safety standards. They spend the majority of their shift on their feet covering large spaces and at times may be required to use ladders to clean high areas. Additionally, the sanitation team moves a variety of equipment, tools, and utensils in and out of production rooms and must be capable of disassembling and re-assembling equipment in an organized fashion. This may require lifting up to 50lbs thus candidates must be comfortable twisting, bending, and kneeling. This position with Sanitation operates an 8-10 hour shift Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between the hours of 11:00am and 10:00pm. The schedule may vary from week to week based on our production schedule but this position will receive 32-40 hours a week.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to stand and maintain efficiency for the entire shift
  • Must be comfortable twisting, bending, and kneeling
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Maintaining a safe work environment and following our Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure that food safety is not compromised in any way is a requirement of all Toby's employees.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous sanitation or food production experience is preferred but we will train the right candidate!

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a positive, efficient, and hygienic working environment
  • Promote good health and safety in the workplace
  • Clean machinery/utensils used by production day shift
  • Clean restrooms and do laundry
  • Take out trashes and organize areas at end of day
  • Complete day to day checklists and forms
  • Display good work ethic, resourcefulness, and organization
  • Have a strong understanding of allergens and cross-contamination
  • Report any broken or faulty equipment to maintenance personnel
  • Follow verbal and written instruction as given by shift lead
  • Responsible for safe usage and storage of chemicals at all times
