About The Position

The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the sanitation operations within the plant, ensuring that the facility is thoroughly cleaned and compliant with USDA regulations. This role involves managing sanitation staff, maintaining communication with regulatory bodies, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of sanitation processes.

Requirements

• Must have previous management experience in a food or poultry processing facility.
• Typically requires a minimum of 1 year of directly related experience.
• Directly related work experience will be accepted on a year-for-year basis in lieu of the educational requirement.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Proficient in MS Office software applications

Responsibilities

• Manage activities of workers engaged in sanitation duties in the plant facility.
• Ensure job is completed correctly and timely.
• Maintain hourly personnel records on employees.
• Ensure the safe operation of the sanitation shift.
• Carry out manager's responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.
• Maintain communication link between plant and USDA regarding sanitation issues.
• Maintain communication link between plant and chemical suppliers.
• Ensure that all sanitation employees follow established cleaning procedures as required by Pilgrim's Pride and regulatory agencies.
• Manage inventory and usage of sanitation-related products.
• Manage sanitation budget.
