About The Position

Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as food science, biology, microbiology, chemistry, or relevant science is required. 2-4 years prior Sanitation and/or Quality Assurance experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment, required. Prior Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Bilingual (English/Spanish), preferred.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as food science, biology, microbiology, chemistry, or relevant science is required.
2-4 years prior Sanitation and/or Quality Assurance experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment, required.
Prior Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
Experience reviewing and interpreting documents such as CAD drawings, operating and equipment instructions, and procedure manual
Understanding of plant production systems, FSMA, SQF, GMP, HACCP, sanitation, plant safety, quality systems, kosher and organic regulations
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office) and software navigation
Proven competency in supervisory activities which require conflict management, developing subordinates, directing subordinates, managing and measuring performance, motivating, building team spirit and morale, and understanding diverse viewpoints
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in all phases of sanitation, facility upkeep, equipment sanitation/maintenance to include chemicals, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, building maintenance, wastewater treatment, and State and Federal sanitation requirements.
Exceptional verbal/written communication skills including ability to write reports, and standard operating procedures
Able to work independently and in a team in order to achieve results effectively.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, supervisors, and suppliers
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
