The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for directing the daily activities of the sanitation team in a poultry processing facility, ensuring that all cleaning and sanitizing processes comply with company standards, regulatory agency guidelines, and legal requirements. This role involves overseeing the sanitation team to maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), USDA, and FDA regulations. The supervisor will coordinate, observe, and evaluate the sanitation processes, ensuring that all sanitation employees follow established cleaning procedures for production lines and the facility. In collaboration with the Quality Assurance team, the Sanitation Supervisor will ensure that the facility meets food safety and sanitation standards. This includes strict enforcement of safety regulations, including OSHA, FSIS, USDA, and HACCP guidelines. The supervisor will work closely with the Sanitation Manager and other departments to meet or exceed departmental and location goals. Mentoring and training employees is a key aspect of this role, as the supervisor will provide feedback on performance and assist in career development. The position also involves administering performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions fairly and consistently. Regular housekeeping, SQF, and regulatory audits will be part of the responsibilities, along with identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions. The supervisor must promote a zero-accident culture by ensuring adherence to safety practices and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Additional relevant duties may be assigned as needed.
