Requirements

• Bachelor's degree; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Four to five years of progressive experience working with industrial food manufacturing equipment and chemical sanitation processes.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledgeable of food processing, HACCP, GMPs and sanitation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Managing all aspects of the sanitation shift.
• Managing plant personnel.
• Following and upholding all safety policies and procedures established for the facility.
• Interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
• Planning, assigning, and directing work.
• Appraising performance.
• Rewarding and disciplining employees.
• Addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Prioritizing food quality and maintaining food safety through the application of company SSOPs, GMPs and the master sanitation schedule.
• Understanding chemical usage, chemical titration, and chemical safety.
• Understanding goals, yields, variances and calculations.
