Requirements

Must have the ability to read, write and understand English and have legible handwriting.
6+ months of janitorial and/or day porter support experience in a commercial setting.
Successful candidates will be reliable, have strong attention to detail, be flexible in scheduling on occasion and are able to work independently.
The ability to identify and use cleaning solutions and chemicals.
The ability to push or pull housekeeping carts throughout the facility.
Must be capable of operating necessary equipment safely in order to satisfy job requirements.
A High school degree or GED with a minimum of 6+ months experience in commercial/lab setting cleaning.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a food preparation/manufacturing facility desired.

Responsibilities

Bi-weekly cleaning and sanitization of office, laboratory, restroom, kitchen, and warehouse spaces on a regimented schedule.
Removing waste and emptying trash.
Washing, drying and putting away glassware utensils & miscellaneous equipment in lab & production areas.
Sweeping and mopping of the facility’s floors.
Perform routine cleaning/sanitizing/disinfecting throughout the facility.
Maintaining a high level of cleanliness conforming to existing and future standards related to certification guidelines.
Responsible for reporting safety issues to an immediate supervisor.
Responsible for completing cleaning paperwork and logs.
Responsible to fully understand and demonstrate safe and proper handling and disposal of cleaning/disinfecting/sanitization solutions used within the facility.
Works collaboratively with lab, quality control, quality assurance and facility staff to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
Performs other duties as assigned/required by their immediate supervisor.
