About The Position

Join us at Tyson Foods where we are raising the world's expectations for how much good food can do! We create quality products in a safe environment for our team members. This facility operates five days a week with potential for overtime and produces raw and fully cooked meat products. The position is for a Food Production - Sanitation Operator in Enid, OK, and starts at $19.40/HR with a .85 shift differential. The role involves operating and disassembling equipment for cleaning, sanitizing work areas, and setting up equipment for inspection at start-up, while adhering to food safety practices and company policies.

Requirements

  • Must have 6 months of work history with one employer in the past 24 months.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Operate production machine equipment such as Blenders, Cookers, Fryers, Mixers, and Packing Machines.
  • Inspect and monitor product.
  • Disassemble equipment for cleaning and sanitizing work areas.
  • Breakdown and set-up equipment when needed.
  • Clean assigned equipment using high pressure hoses.
  • Use chemical cleaners to foam and clean all areas of production.
  • Examine common machine parts and components for excessive wear.
  • Prepare equipment and machines for reassembly after cleaning.
  • Ensure that all guards removed are properly replaced after cleaning.
  • Follow procedures to meet USDA and Quality Control Regulations.
  • Communicate/coordinate with other departments for efficient utilization of non-running time.
  • Wear personal protective equipment as required.
  • Ensure safe and proper use of tools and equipment.
  • Maintain neat and orderly work area, including proper storage/disposal of cleaning chemicals.
  • Perform Lock Out Tag Out responsibilities for safe operation.
  • Obtain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification.
  • Perform any other work as assigned by supervisor.
  • Push, pull, and carry up to 75 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Stand and walk on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day.
  • Work in cold/hot temperatures ranging 45-100 degrees.
  • Perform repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing and pulling.
  • Climb step ladders and/or stairs.
  • Work overtime and weekends.
