The Sanitation Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment by performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and sanitation support on equipment and facilities. This role ensures compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards while supporting efficient operations and minimizing downtime. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and minor repairs during sanitation on facility-related equipment. Support sanitation operations by ensuring equipment is properly cleaned, assembled, and functioning correctly. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues related to sanitation systems. Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce equipment failures and ensure compliance with sanitation standard. Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and maintenance supplies in accordance with regulations. Follow all safety, food safety, and sanitation policies (e.g. GMPs, OSHA, HACCP, or company-specific standards). Document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections accurately. Respond to urgent maintenance issues during sanitation to prevent production downtime or delay of startup. Collaborate with sanitation, production, and quality teams to resolve issues and improve processes. Maintain tools, work areas, and maintenance shops in a clean and organized condition Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
