RO Operator/Sanitation 2/3-3rd Shift
About The Position
Tends machine that performs one or more packaging functions such as filling, marking, and/or labeling by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Starts machine and observes operation to ensure machine is operating properly. • Stops machine and reports malfunction to supervisor. • Makes minor adjustments or repairs such as opening valves, changing cutting dies, setting guides, or clearing away damaged product containers. • Inspects filled packs to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications. • Feeds product to conveyors. • Mounts supplies such as film on spindles. • Thoroughly clean entire machine and set it up for the next shop. • Disassemble and reassemble machine to sanitize properly, per company procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of computers and the ability to input data into a computer and touch screen.
- Stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift
- Use hands to finger, grip, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
- Talk and hear
- Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
