Sanitation Lead - 1st Shift - Fayetteville Complex

About the position

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by ensuring the Supervisor's instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position will also monitor all equipment to ensure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Complete Lock Out / Tag Out training and assist in showing fellow team members the location for lock out/tag out for individual pieces of equipment.
• Follow all established Sanitation SOP's.
• Mix, prepare and distribute authorized chemicals per SOP for equipment and sanitizing.
• Assist Sanitation team members with completing assigned tasks per Supervisor's instructions.
• Ensure team members have all required supplies, materials and PPE necessary for the completion of assigned tasks.
• Provide guidance for team members on prioritizing and scheduling assigned tasks.
• Use high pressure water hose and high-pressure air wand in cleaning.
• Clean all equipment in accordance with the SOP's.
• Maintain control of all equipment and tools utilized by sanitation department.
• Complete all required documentation as outlined in the SSOP's.
• Maintain good manufacturing practices and personal hygiene.
• Adhere to all safety policies and assist management in encouraging a safe work environment.
• Report unsafe conditions or acts.
• Work as a team member toward task accomplishments.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

• Must have one-year food processing sanitation experience.
• Must be able to perform essential functions of job with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Requires flexibility of wrists and hands.
• Walking, bending, standing and some lifting required.
• Must be able to tolerate heights up to 30 feet off the ground on occasion.
• Lifting of up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis.
• Must be able to move heavy objects (50 lbs.) with mechanical device.
• Must be able to perform essential functions of job with minimum supervision.
• Must be able to successfully complete scissor lift, fall protection, electric pallet jack and forklift training.
