All team members must abide by all of Burke’s plant safety rules! A Sanitation Laborer is responsible for the following duties: Cleaning and sanitizing all production areas; including: equipment, machinery, walls, floors, and ceilings Cleaning up excess meat from the floor using a squeegee or shovel Hosing down equipment and machinery with high pressure, hot water hoses Applying foam to all surfaces in production areas, scrubbing equipment and machinery, rinsing foam from equipment and machinery, applying sanitizers and oil/air mixtures to all surfaces in production areas Disassembling equipment and machinery for cleaning purposes, once clean reassembling equipment Vacuuming office areas, mopping floors of laboratory and break rooms, cleaning receiving docks, cleaning restrooms, and restocking bathroom supplies Will be exposed to dangerous and caustic chemicals, must be able to read and understand all chemical warnings Will be exposed to CO2, mechanical, and electrical hazards Working in temperatures ranging from -10 to 100+ degrees, most work areas will be hot, wet, and slippery Burke Corporation is a leader in the production of pizza toppings and other fully cooked meats.
